I would like to introduce myself to you. My name is Thijs van der Sanden and I am a 23-year-old predator angler from Holland. Every weekend I am fishing on predators, and the main target is the pike. As you might know, Holland is one of the best places to catch huge pikes!
Since a couple of weeks I am the proud owner of 2 Shad Clones. A friend of mine told me to give them a go on the massive lakes I usually fish. So I bought 2 and I went out. It was a rainy and windy day and the fishing was tough, very tough! My mate caught 3 nice pikes, but not very big. At the end of the day we decided to do a small trolling lap on a good spot. I was fishing with the white shad clone. We were talking about different things, when suddenly my rod went into a very good curve! The first ever fish on the shad clone still amazed by this great fish we did another lap. Someone gave me a ring, so I was trying to get my phone out of my pocket, but I had to stop that because my rod went in another curve...
So in less then 15 minutes at the end of the day, the shad clone saved the day by two amazing big fish! Then another story about last Sunday (16-11-2008). Me and 3 other anglers had organized a fishing day for 26 anglers on a massive lake in Holland. Plan was to do some casting and trolling for pike. At one moment, after casting for nearly 2 hours, I decided to do some trolling. First over deeper water (around 6 meters) but all of a sudden we came close to a shallow sand bank. My long trolling rod went slowly in a curve, and I thought I was hitting the ground, or stuck to a rope.
I took the rod out of the rest and I felt a fish shaking with his head! I gave my other rod to my mate and the fish took off!! The fight was good, and after a while the fish came up...shad clone was nowhere to be found! 123cm and VERY fat. Any pike over 120cm is a fish of a lifetime! This is 50" class and European pike are very thick.
All my fishing friends have bought a couple of them, because of my catches!
